How long have you been in business?

What is your primary product or service?
We offer a wide variety of pictures from family portraits,Children,Maternity,Sweet-Sixteen,Babies,Wedding, Adult and Children parties, Special and Church events, plus more.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My skills go back to the days when film was king, when you developed and printed your own pictures. In today's digital era you have to know how to blend old school knowledge with modern day technology. I achieved a life long goal of obtaining a degree in art with photography as my concentration. I consider myself a life long student in photography because as a student you are always willing to learn and to me this is key to staying on top. I have never been afraid to try different things or explore all the different aspects of photography, this is what they call thinking out of the box. The basic things a photographer needs are light, composition and subject. It's how a photographer arranges and control these three elements to form eye catching pictures. Even these basic elements take time to master. My photography resume' will show that I have worked as a freelance photographer for three different studios and have taught on a college level. I have experience in weddings, studio photography (both on and off location), birthdays and special events. I have also been contracted to do photography for Essex County College. I am a active member in good standing of the Professional Photographer of America. Somewhere I recall someone saying that if you do something that you love to do it will never seem like work. I can say that I have truly founded my passion. Jonny J Photography is conveniently located in Irvington center just above Rent-A-Center.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I don't look over anyone's shoulder to see what the other guy is doing because you may tend to copy them and that is not being original. I pride myself on being customer service oriented first because it is the client that keep's you in business. I have establish my own style which is the only way you can separate yourself from the pack. I know that those who come to my studio could have gone to any other place including those big studios at the mall. That's why I try to give my clients a good experience when they come and they always enjoy and love that personal touch.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
for now we are located at the one location. 2 Union Ave. Irvington, NJ. We look forward in the future to relocate to a bigger studio.
